The Quebec Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (SIAQ) invites conference attendees to register for a free, guided tour of iconic sites and green spaces within Montreal’s downtown core. Discover the interplay between history and urban development as you learn what it’s like to be a tree in different parts of the city. This tour will reveal an array of fascinating locations from busy streets to restorative parks to vibrant university campuses. Each location has its own story to tell and some remarkable trees to meet along the way!

This tour will begin at UQAM’s Cœur des Sciences and end atop the city’s beloved Mount-Royal with an impeccable view of the skyline.  

Tour duration: 2 hours 

Approximate walking distance: 2.5 kilometers, streets and stairways. Comfortable walking shoes strongly recommended. 

Transport available from Mount-Royal back to the conference location
