Presenter #1, Dene Grigar (Washington State University Vancouver), begins by providing an overview of works that received much critical notice at the time of their publication but may not today be recognized by new scholars, including J Yellowlees Douglas’ I Have Sad Nothing (1993), David Kolb’s Socrates in the Labyrinth(1994), Mary-Kim Arnold’s Lust(1994), Carolyn Guyer’s Quibbling (1992) and Guyer and Martha Petry’s Izme Pass(1991). Screenshots of these works’ content as well as their functionality as works of hypertext captured on period appropriate computers from the presenter’s Electronic Literature Lab will both be made available in the presentation.
