
Christophe Collard lectures in European literature, critical theory, and
contemporary performing arts at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Free
University of Brussels), where co-founded the Journal for Literary and Intermedial Crossings (JLIC). He has also taught at the universities of Antwerp (BE) and Alicante (ES), as well as more recently at Beijing Normal University (CN). Articles of his have appeared among others in Adaptation, New
Theatre Quarterly, Performance Research, Performing Arts Journal (PAJ),
Literature/Film Quarterly, and Re-Thinking History. He is the
author of the monograph Artist on the Make: David Mamet’s Work Across
Media and Genres (2012), which was shortlisted for the 2014 Young
Scholar Book Award of the European Society for the Study of English
(ESSE). Currently he is working on a second monograph about self-reflexive theatre.
