Matthieu Paradis has a master's degree in history from the University of Montreal (2007) and is a candidate for the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Heritage Resources Management at Athabasca University. He has been working at Parks Canada since 2001 where he held various positions in historical interpretation/heritage presentation (social, economic and military aspects) and management of national historic sites in the Montreal area. For nearly 10 years, he has been working as a Cultural Resource Management Advisor and has been involved on a variety of projects regarding Parks Canada's historic canals in Quebec, in addition to various files and projects in other protected heritage places across the country.
