Indigenous artistic renewal is expressed through the performing arts, which promote the expression of concerns related to the reaffirmation of identity and the cultural reappropriation of First Peoples. This communication showcases the results of a doctoral action-creation research focused on a theatrical approach to the life stories of Indigenous schoolgirls. The result is an educational model of holistic creation inspired by several principles in Indigenous pedagogy.

We propose to provide context for this project, then to broadcast the previously unseen documentary video Guérir les sept prochaines générations (Healing the Next Seven Generations), and finally to discuss the work and the research results. Path of resurgence, resistance, resilience, and reverence, this creation experience enhances the holistic well-being of Indigenous girls resolutely committed to epistemic, environmental, and social justice.
