Hannes Verhoustraete

Hannes Verhoustraete is a filmmaker and artistic researcher at KASK School of Arts in Belgium. He is currently pursuing a PHD in the Arts with his project ‘Hegemony and historiography: the film essay as palimpsest. His first feature Un pays plus beau qu’avant (2019) follows a Congolese businessman in Brussels and was screened at Courtisane Festival et al. He is also an editor for the online cinephile magazine Sabzian.be
