Veronica Johnson

Veronica Johnson is Assistant Professor in the Department of Media Studies, Maynooth University, Ireland. Her research focuses on the development of cinema in the 1910s with a particular interest in female pioneers. A former Irish Research Council awardee, she is currently working on a history of the Film Company of Ireland (1916-1920), Irelands first indigenous fiction film company. Her research has been published in the Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television and Alphaville, the Journal of Screen Media.
