Rasmus Greiner

Rasmus Greiner is associate professor for film studies at the University of Bremen. He is founder and general editor of the open access journal Research in Film and History (www.film-history.org). Greiner studied Media, Film, History and German Literature in Marburg. He received his doctoral degree with a thesis on asymmetrical wars in feature films since the late 1990s. His areas of research comprise the audio-visual production of history, global film culture, war movies, genre studies, and film aesthetics. Currently he leads a three-year DFG-funded research project “German Comedy after the Third Reich”.
