William Buxton

William J. Buxton is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Communication Studies Senior Fellow, Centre for Sensory Studies, Concordia University, and professeur associé au Département d’information et de communication de l’Université Laval.
Author of numerous articles on intellectual and cultural history, he has most recently edited and co-edited four collections related to the life and work of Canadian political economist, Harold Adams Innis. He has been awarded a research grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) to write a history of the Toronto School of Communication, with specific reference to Innis and Marshall McLuhan.
