Marie Krämer
Marie Krämer is a research assistant and PhD candidate at Philipps-Universität Marburg, in cotutelle with Université de Lorraine. Her dissertation project “Cinephilia(s) Revisited: Movies - Memory – Mobilisation” examines films and other media configurations in which cinephilia is (re)negotiated from the perspective of cultural memory, and takes a critical look at the transnational dissemination and remediation of the concept. Marie holds an M.A. in Media Studies (Philipps-Universität Marburg & Université Paris-3 Sorbonne Nouvelle) and Cultural Management & Education (Université de Lorraine) and has worked for institutions such as the Berlinale, DOK Leipzig, Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg and the German Federal Cultural Foundation. Her research (most recent publications: Alphaville: Journal of Film and Screen Media 21, Research in Film & History 4) focuses on institutions and practices of film culture, film heritage and film education. Marie is an associate doctoral member of the research collective “Configurations of Film” at Goethe University Frankfurt and is currently completing a DAAD-funded 6-month research stay in France.
