I am a pharmacist with a long-standing interest in drug discoveries for epilepsy and translational neuroscience research. I am currently working as a Post-Doctoral fellow at the Université de Montréal Hospital Research Center (CRCHUM), Montreal, Canada. My research is focused on development of animal models and drug screening of plant compound. As a postdoctoral fellow, I am working with drug screening in different genetic epilepsy zebrafish model. My earliest exposure to scientific research, both as a post-graduate at Dr. L. H. Hiranandani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai and then as a Ph. D. candidate at Monash University Malaysia were always motivating toward new drug therapies, experimental models and clinically-relevant problems in the field of epilepsy and neuroscience. My basic interest is to work for the clinical trial related project in epilepsy and neuroscience. The current project is focused on 'Development of the zebrafish model by genetic modification, targeted anti-epileptic drug treatment for specific type of epilepsy and discovery of new plant-based medicine". Working with my current supervisor Dr. Eric Samarut is very exciting in terms of genetic epilepsy zebrafish models and precision medicine for the treatment. We are focusing on screening newly synthesized compounds in available genetic epilepsy models of zebrafish and expecting to get few hit which can be translated to clinical studies.
We are open for further collaboration and new research discussions, please contact on my email or any social media platform.
