Montreal Heart Institute

Founded in 1954, the Montreal Heart Institute is Canada’s largest cardiology research centre. It constantly aims for the highest standards of excellence in cardiovascular medicine by being a leader in basic and clinical research, ultra-specialized care, training programs for professionals, and prevention.

The Institute is affiliated with Université de Montréal and has more than 2,000 employees, including 245 physicians and more than 85 researchers. It also houses the country’s biggest prevention centre and cardiovascular genetics centre.
