This plenary session will provide an overview of animal behavior research in Quebec from 1975 to the present day.

We will begin with the three major traditions that have studied animal behavior: psychology, ecology, and zoology, to provide context for the Society's founding.

We will then trace the legacy of these traditions and the evolution of the major topics that have occupied behavioral research in Quebec since the Society's founding to the present day.
