Dan Dennett, Professor Emeritus and Co-Director of the Center for Cognitive Studies, Tufts University, is a philosopher and cognitive scientist. A prominent advocate of evolutionary biology and computational models of the mind, Dennett is known for his theories on consciousness and free will, particularly the concept of consciousness as an emergent property of neural processes.
