Dr Caitlin Gordon-Walker

Caitlin Gordon-Walker's recent work, Exhibiting Nation: Multicultural Nationalism (and Its Limits) in Canada's Museums, examines the relationship between Canadian museums and certain hegemonic and counter-hegemonic understandings of national identity and cultural difference. Her ongoing research continues to explore the politics of museums and other forms of public cultural representation in relation to nationalism, colonialism, and difference. As an interdisciplinary scholar, she draws together perspectives from the fields of anthropology, political theory, history, sociology, geography, literature, and visual and material culture studies.
