Candidate au doctorat en sciences géographiques à l’Université Laval, Michelle Bélanger poursuit actuellement des recherches sur le développement d’une nouvelle sensibilité paysagère envers les territoires miniers. Diplômée d’une maîtrise en histoire de l’art, elle a documenté dans son mémoire les diverses pratiques culturelles et sociales se déployant autour des vestiges industriels montréalais. Elle enseigne présentement au département de géographie de l’Université Laval et fait partie du conseil d’administration de l’Association québécoise pour le patrimoine industriel (AQPI).
