Elise Capredon est doctorante en anthropologie à l’École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) de Paris, rattachée au Centre de Recherche sur le Brésil Contemporain (CRBC) de l’UMR 8168 Mondes Américains. Elle mène depuis 2008 des recherches sur les pratiques religieuses et les formes d’engagement politique des Baniwa, un peuple amérindien du Haut Rio Negro, région pluriethnique du nord-ouest de l’Amazonie brésilienne.
