
Astrid Swenson is Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in European History at Brunel University London and director of the Isambard Centre for Historical Research and the Brunel Heritage Research Network. Her publications include The Rise of Heritage: Preserving the Past in France, Germany and England (Cambridge University Press 2013) and with Peter Mandler (eds.) From Plunder to Preservation: Britain and the Heritage of Empire (Oxford University Press 2013).
