Ana Maria Pacón is Professor of the Master of Intellectual Property Law and Competition Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She is also Professor of Patent Law at the International University Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP), Headquarters Valencia, Spain, and Trademark Law Intellectual Property Graduate University of the Andes in Merida, Venezuela, and is a visiting professor at various universities Latin America and Europe. Is Recognised Degrees collaborative teaching at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), Spain. She was Professor of the Master in Business Law (MADE) at the University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain.
Dr. Pacón is Researcher of National Institute Ciência e Tecnologia (INCT), Brazil, and honorary collaborator at the University of Alicante, Spain.
She completed his undergraduate studies in law at the Catholic University of Peru and master's and doctoral studies at the University of Augsburg in Germany. It was permanent research fellow before the Max-Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich, Germany.
Dr Pacón was President of the Court of Competition and Intellectual Property Protection of the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Intellectual Property Protection of Peru (Indecopi). She was also negotiating for Peru before different international forums.
In addition to her teaching and academic activities, Dr. Pacón works as an international consultant in intellectual property issues with special emphasis on areas relevant to developing countries.
