Roman Sebastyanski – architect, urban planner and urban manager. Since 1995 engaged in urban regeneration of the former Gdansk Shipyard area cooperating both with the Municipality of Gdansk as well as Synergia 99 (land owner/developer). Initiator and facilitator of the Artists’ Colony in the Gdansk Shipyard, member of the Young City Stakeholders’ Board and the Gdansk-Shipyard Agreement (of the key activists’ groups to cooperate concerning heritage protection). Founder and President of the Better City Foundation and member of ICOMOS, INTBAU as well as Polish Architects Association. Currently completing practice-based PhD study at the University of the West of Scotland (UK) on the heritage of the Solidarity in social participative urban planning. His main publications:
