Steven Pendery is Membre Adjoint with the Laboratoire d’archéologie, Centre Interuniversitaire d’Études sur les Arts et les Traditions (CÉLAT), Université Laval, Québec (Québec). He received his B.A. from Brown University and M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from Harvard University. In addition to serving as a museum archaeologist in New England, he was City Archaeologist for Boston, archaeologist for the National Park Service Northeast Region, and Director of University of Massachusetts (Amherst) Archaeological Services. Two of his edited volumes include include: Saint Croix Island, Maine: History, Archeology, and Interpretation (2012) and Colloque: Histoire et Archéologie du XVIe et XVIIe siècles In Les Actes du 133e Congrès du Comité des Travaux Historiques et Scientifiques (CTHS),with Fabienne Ravoire (2011). His current research focuses on documenting Acadian diaspora sites across the Americas and Europe and investigating early French colonization in the Caribbean.
