She has continued this investigation in her PhD work and has expanded this work along interdisciplinary lines.
Her current work involves the investigation of the socio-linguistic, sociological, and cultural mechanisms underlying and contributing to the development of the Lost Generation cultural narrative, as well as the propagation of the narrative through literature, historical writing, and various other media (including theatre and film) both during the war and in the interwar period. This investigation includes research into the establishment of an upper class collective identity in Britain and the linkage between that collective identity and the development of the Lost Generation narrative.
