Peruvian architect graduated from the Ricardo Palma University, Lima. She has worked as free-lance in architectural design and construction, stage design and art direction. In 2007, she received the Monbukagakusho scholarship from the Japanese government, following a master in Media and Governance in Keio University in Tokyo, where she graduated in 2009 with a thesis entitled “Regional Planning for the conservation and sustainable regeneration of the Andean cultural landscape in the Inka Sacred Valley in Peru”, awarded with the Aiso Prize. In 2014 she completed a Ph.D. in Heritage Studies at the IGS: Heritage Studies at BTU Cottbus in Germany where she graduated with the dissertation entitled “About the conservation of cultural landscapes: sustainability or unviability? A comparative study on the emergent landscape management in heritage sites in mountain regions: the Andes and the Pyrenees.” Currently she is a researcher in the World Heritage Studies Programme/Certificate Programme on
Nature Conservation at the University of Tsukuba in Japan, where her research focus is the linkages between nature and culture in the context of heritage studies, governance and practice.
