Rafael Roxo is a PhD student in the human geography programme of the Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas, Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Currently, he is a researcher in the Laboratório de Estudos Regionais em Geografia of USP. He acquired his master’s degree in geography from the Instituto de Geociências, Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) (2013), where he was a member of the Geography, Tourism and Cultural Heritage Research Group (2011-2013). He holds a “licentiate” and a bachelor’s degree in geography from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) (2006). His research interests are urban and regional geography. Since 2004, he teaches in private and public schools.
