Diego Finder Machado is a doctoral history student at the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina – UDESC, with a CAPES scholarship (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior). He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the Joinville Campus – UNIVILLE of that same university (2005) and a master’s degree also in history from UDESC (2009). His doctoral research examines the sensibilities related to the past of Joinville, through the interpretation of practices and representations of acts of vandalism against cultural heritage. He has gained experience in the history of the present time. He is a member of the research group City, Culture and Difference (UNIVILLE) and teaches history, memory and cultures (UDESC).
