Historian at the Unidade de Preservação do Patrimônio Histórico da Secretaria da Cultura do Estado de São Paulo since 2010, Deborah Regina Leal Neves graduated in history from the Universidade de São Paulo (2008). She specialized in heritage and culture management at the Centro Universitário Assunção (2011). She holds a master’s degree in social history from the Universidade de São Paulo (2014); her thesis deals with the persistence of the past: heritage and the dictatorship’s memorials in São Paulo and Buenos Aires. She is currently a PhD student in history (more specifically interested in culture and city) at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
