Of Iranian origin, Narciss M. Sohrabi began his studies in civil engineering in Yazd, and in urban design in Isfahan, before moving to France with a scholarship to pursue a PhD in urban studies (Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense). His research explores public space interactions through a transdisciplinary approach that encompasses modernity, social movement, Islamization, political interactions, institutional public art analysis, and environmental sciences. His doctoral thesis explores themes closely related to public space, modern space, religious place, and Iranian Islamic revolution, and the material and visual culture after the Islamic revolution, through the analysis of objects.
