Carolina Fidalgo de Oliveira graduated (2003) in architecture and urbanism from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP); she holds a master’s in history and fundamentals of architecture and urbanism (2009) from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, Universidade de São Paulo (FAU-USP). Her current PhD research, also at the FAU-USP, deals with the preservation of historic towns and centres recognized as World Cultural Heritage (supported by a CAPES scholarship / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior). She collaborated to the foundation of the International Centre for the Conservation of Heritage Sites in Brazil (CICOP-Brazil) and is a lecturer in the course of architecture and urbanism of the University Centre FIAM-FAAM.
