Ana Helena Mendes da Fonseca holds a master’s degree from the Escola Superior de Design (ESDI), Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2014). She also has a bachelor’s degree in industrial design from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2009). During her studies, she participated in the academic exchange programme from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro PUC-Rio, spending a semester at the University of Leeds (United Kingdom) (2008). In 2007-2008, she received a scholarship from the Scientific Initiation Programme (PIBIC) for her research on the “Religious Iconography of the Historical Churches of Rio de Janeiro.” She gained professional experience in graphic design since 2007. She is interested, mainly, in themes related to the conceptualization of brands, visual identity, branding, country-brands, city-brands, mega-events, and Olympic design.
