I am currently an assistant professor adjunct of the Department of Landscape Architecture, the Chinese Culture University, Taiwan. I obtain my Ph.D in Design and Planning from the University of Colorado, and had previously worked as postdoctoral fellow at the Asia Research Institute (ARI), National University of Singapore between 2009 and 2011. During my doctoral study, I examined the impact of heritage tourism on the socio-cultural continuity of local community in the Ancient City of Pingyao, China. During my time with ARI, I have been exposed to research in the Southeast Asia region and have initiated research projects regarding heritage preservation in Malaysia and the Philippine.
