Licensed in pedagogy with additional training in museology at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Kelly Amaral de Freitas worked on the research project “Tematizando Artes e Ofícios,” supported with a scientific research grant to investigate the educational potential of  Belo Horizonte’s Museu de Artes e Ofícios. Her work dealt with students’ participation in the evaluation of school visits in some museums of Minas Gerais. She participated in a research project on “Educar pela Cidade: Patrimônio Cultural e Ambiental,” for which she also received technical and scientific funding. She is currently a student in the master of education programme of the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais, supported by a CAPES scholarship (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior). Her research deals with cultures, memories, and languages in educational processes.
