Darlan de Mamann Marchi is from Santo Ângelo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He holds an undergraduate degree in history from the Universidade Regional Integrada do Alto Uruguai e das Missões (2007), and a master’s degree in social memory and cultural heritage from the Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2014). Currently he is a doctoral student in the same programme (2014-2018) with a scholarship from Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES). His research deals with the relation between the trajectory of cultural heritage and the community of São Miguel das Missões.
