Vagner Silva Ramos Filho is a graduate student in history at the Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), Brazil, with a CAPES Scholarship (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior). He received his bachelor’s degree in history in 2013 from that same university. His master’s research examines how memory, history, and public policy intertwine during the celebration of the centennial of Virgulino Ferreira da Silva’s birth, the bandit known as Lampião. He has gained experience in Brazilian history, focusing on memory, heritage, and the northeast region. He is a member of the Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Patrimônio e Memória ([GEPPM-UFC] / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico [CNPq]).
