INPE conference

August 11, 2026, 8:30 AM - August 14, 2026, 12:30 PM

Montréal, Québec, Canada

The Faculty of Education at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is honoured to be hosting the 2026 INPE conference: Initiating New Conversations Across a Divided World.

We are pleased to acknowledge Ethics and Education, the official journal of INPE, which publishes a special issue after every conference.

We are also delighted to cooperate, for the first time, with the John Dewey Society (JDS), which will hold its annual conference in Montreal, August 10-12, at Concordia University and UQAM. All INPE participants will be able to attend the JDS events. For more information about this event, click here.

The Conference venue

The INPE conference will be held at the UQAM Science Pavilion (SH) located at 200 Sherbrooke West, Montreal, H2X 3P2. Here is a map of the University with the Science Pavilion marked in pink.

Accessibility details

The nearest metro station is Place des Arts.

The main bus lines (24, 80, 55) also provide easy access to the conference venue.

There is an easily accessible bike-sharing system (Bixi). Electric bikes are also available.

Conference dinner

We are delighted to announce that we are planning a three-course dinner to bring everyone together at a restaurant in downtown Montreal. The restaurant will be chosen based on the number of people who confirm their interest before May 22. You may confirm your interest by reserving a place here. We estimate the cost of the meal to be approximately CAD 65, plus tax (15%) and a service charge (18%). We regret that we were unable to find a more affordable option, but we very much look forward to welcoming you and sharing the evening with you all.
