Fernanda Perez Gay Juarez is a medical doctor (MD), cognitive neuroscientist and science communicator. She holds a Medical Doctor degree from UNAM and a PhD in Neuroscience from McGill University. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher and course lecturer at McGill University, where she teaches "Introduction to Neuroscience". Since 2014, she has actively engaged in transdisciplinary dialogues and science broadcasting projects. She has been a guest speaker and host at various conferences and roundtables about neuroscience and cognitive science topics for the general public, she has published more than 40 science journalism articles in both Canadian and Mexican media and she wrote, directed and hosted the series "SINAPSIS: Connections between art and your brain", for which she obtained the financial support of the "Dialogue" science communication scholarship of the Fonds de Recherche du Québec.
