_Benjamin TAUNAY est géographe et sinologue, Maître de conférences à l’Université d’Angers (UFR ESTHUA Tourisme et Culture) et membre de l’UMR CNRS 6590 ESO. Auteur de la première thèse française sur le tourisme intérieur en Chine, ses travaux portent sur les transformations de la société chinoise à travers le développement des pratiques de tourisme et de loisirs. Actuellement il dirige un programme sur « Bronzer en Chine : une norme corporelle émergente ? ». Il vient de codiriger avec Isabelle Sacareau et Emmanuelle Peyvel un ouvrage sur la diffusion du tourisme dans le monde intitulé : La mondialisation du tourisme. Les nouvelles frontières d’une pratique (Presses Universitaires de Rennes, 2015). Il est le représentant de l’Université d’Angers au conseil scientifique du GIS Asie. _
