Industrial Heritage Reloaded
28 August 2022, 11:00 AM - 3 September 2022, 11:00 PM
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Six days of site visits, networking activities presentations by renowned keynote speakers and more than 200 experts from 30 countries will offer new perspectives on the legacy of industrialization. Beyond ruins and old mills, the aim is to explore—in an era of corporate social responsibility and in a context of profound economic, social and cultural change—how industrial heritage can contribute to the development of our society, the growth of our territories and the identity of our living environments.
The congress is hosted by the Canada Research Chair in Urban Heritage in collaboration with the Association québécoise pour le patrimoine industriel.
The congress' sessions, papers and lectures are eligible for recognition as formal training for members of the Ordre des urbanistes du Québec. To register as a member of OUQ, follow this link.

It is planned that the congress will be held on site, with all participants present. We are closely monitoring the global health situation and will take all necessary decisions to ensure the safety of all, including, if required, postponing the conference to a later date. We prefer this option to any other that would hinder the engagement of the public and local stakeholders.
