Gabriel Laferriere
Gabriel Laferrière est diplômé de la maîtrise en études urbaines de l’UQAM, où il a réalisé un mémoire dans lequel il compare le processus permettant la reconversion de bâtiments industriels patrimoniaux à Birmingham et Montréal. Lors de sa maîtrise, son intérêt pour le patrimoine – et plus particulièrement le patrimoine industriel – lui a permis de travailler pour la Fédération Histoire Québec et pour Martin Drouin en tant qu’auxiliaire de recherche. Ce même intérêt lui a permis d’organiser, avec la Chaire de recherche du Canada en patrimoine urbain, un voyage thématique en Europe ayant pour thème le patrimoine, la requalification et le développement local et de partir en échange à Birmingham pour compléter ses études et travailler sur son mémoire. Depuis, Gabriel a occupé le poste d'agent de développement en patrimoine chez Culture Shawinigan avant d'intégrer l'équipe de la coopérative en patrimoine Passerelles, où il travaille aujourd'hui. Depuis quelques années, il s’implique au sein de différents organismes incluant le Conseil jeunesse de Montréal et Héritage Montréal.
