Doctora en Economía Agrícola por la Universidad Checa de Agricultura en Praga. Actualmente está trabajando en el Centro de Estudios Rurales, El Colegio de Michoacán, A. C. en la línea de investigación Medio ambiente y sistemas agroalimentarios con el interés especial por el partimonio biocultural local y regional. Es responsable del Observatorio de Agricultura y Medio Ambiente del Occidente de México, fundado en el año 2018 en El Colegio de Michoacán.
