My name is Shauna Rak and I am a first year Ph.D. student in the Education department at McGill University. My current research will explore how the ongoing legacy of the Holocaust can be approached through various pedagogical spaces by drawing on theories of multi-sensory learning, postmemory and oral history. The doctoral project, which is a form of research creation, builds on my Master’s Thesis in Art Education, where I inquired into my grandmother’s story of surviving the Holocaust.
