Earlier, he has co-steered a multi-partner development project with the Danish tourism authorities on bicycle tourism. Mads’ publications include several articles in The International Journal of Heritage Studies (including a co-edited special issue on ‘Reenacting the Past’, 2014), in Museum and Society, and in History and Anthropology (co-editing a special issue on ‘Globalized Heritage’, 2011).
