Stefania pursued her interest in the conservation and regeneration of listed buildings (from
Victorian to 1930’s) with John McAslan+Partners, Purcell Miller Tritton, Donald Insall
Associates, Julian Harrap Architects and McCormac Jamieson Prichard. She worked on a
variety of building types and scales, most notably the British Museum, Kings Cross Station,
Sir John Soane Museum and the BBC Radio Theatre.
Her experience spans from concept design to completion. She has run several projects at
the same time and led architectural teams whilst leasing with clients, consultants, local
authority and Historic England (former English Heritage).
Stefania Scarsini studied at the IUAV (Institute of Architecture of Venice, Italy). Following a
few years of work in Italy, she moved to London in 1997 where she pursued her interest in
contemporary interventions on historic buildings and interiors. Her cultural background has
allowed her to find a balance between the historical and the contemporary whilst exploring the use of the traditional and new materials, and keeping a link with the building and decoration tradition and the introduction of more technically advanced solutions.
