This paper explores the diversity of heritage environments in the Middle East which are facing global challenges for their survival in the age of the increasing fast development and political turmoil. Despite of the unique significance of heritage, it is found today that there is a heavy increase from the new development in the region which has put more stresses on heritage which as a result heritage has become a rare and very limited environment such as in Dubai. In this context, heritage environments with their ancient resources of the Middle East could have contributed to better economic and sustainable development perceptions. However, the objective of this paper is to describe, review and analyze heritage diversity with its architectural setting which combines both a natural and human heritage in terms of historical, natural, architectural and cultural significances.
