The Postdoctoral Research/Career Day aims to bring together a range of topics to inspire and support postdoctoral fellows during their current career, but also during their transition to their future career. In addition, this activity offers networking opportunities across Quebec.
The 11th annual Postdoctoral Research/Career Day is organized by Université du Québec à Montréal in collaboration with McGill University, Concordia University, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, HEC Montréal, École polytechnique de Montréal, École de technologie supérieure, Institut national de la recherche scientifique, Université Laval and Bishop University.

- Date : Saturday, May 31, 2025
- Schedule: Participant check-in begins at 8:00 a.m., and presentations will start at 9:15 a.m. The event will conclude around 7:00 p.m., at the end of the networking cocktail.

- Audience : Postdoctoral fellows
- Cost:
- Free for postdoctoral fellows enrolled in partner universities* (but a $55 deposit, refundable on condition that you attend the event, is required).
- $55 for all other postdoctoral researchers
Included in the registration:
- Lunch is included for all participants.
- A networking session (5 à 7) will take place at the end of the day.
- Simultaneous translation (French & English) provided for all sessions.
- Coming from Québec City or Sherbrooke? A free chartered bus service will be available for round-trip transportation on the day of the event (limited spots). Please indicate your interest in this service during registration.
Getting there:
Activities will take place on UQAM’s main campus in the Hubert-Aquin Pavilion, in Amphitheatre A-M050 (metro level).

Access options:
- By Metro : The Hubert-Aquin Pavilion is located right at the exit of the Berri-UQAM metro station (green, orange, and yellow lines). On Saturdays, indoor access via the metro opens at 8:00 a.m
- Outdoor access:
- The outdoor entrance to the Hubert-Aquin Pavilion is accessible only from 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays.
- The entrance at 320 Sainte-Catherine Street East is accessible at all times. This entrance leads through the De Sève Pavilion (DS), from which you can reach the Hubert-Aquin Pavilion via the indoor pedestrian network.
- Arrival by bus from Quebec City or Sherbrooke: For participants traveling by bus, your chartered bus is scheduled to arrive around 8:45-9:00am. UQAM guides will be waiting for you at the bus arrival point to escort you directly to the conference venue.
- By car : Several paid parking options are available near the campus, including on Sanguinet Street and at the Grande Bibliothèque.

How to register
A valid credit card authorization is required to confirm your registration.
The $55 deposit will be refunded provided to the card used for payment, provided that (1) that you attend the event on May 31, 2025, and (2) that you are a postdoctoral fellow at one of the 10 partner universities* of the event.
Canadian or European Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted.
* Partner universities: École de technologie supérieure, Institut national de la recherche scientifique, HEC, McGill University, École Polytechnique de Montréal, Bishop’s University, Concordia University, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, Université Laval, and Université du Québec à Montréal.
Cancellation policy : A 100% refund of the registration fee will be granted if the cancellation is made before Friday, May 23, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. After this deadline, no refunds will be issued.
