Michel Alhadeff-Jones is a psycho-sociologist and educational philosopher, specialising in the field of adult education. He works as an Associate Professor at Columbia University (Teachers College) and as a Lecturer at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). He is also a member of the Steering Committee of the European Society for Research in Adult Education (ESREA). In Switzerland, he heads the Sunkhronos Institute, where he continues his research and offers support and training. His research and training interests focus on the complexity of the temporalities that punctuate our individual and collective lives, as well as the forms of support that facilitate their consideration, coherence and transformation, both on a daily and long-term basis. Michel Alhadeff-Jones is the author of Time and the Rhythms of Emancipatory Education (Routledge, 2017), as well as numerous articles and scientific papers.
