
Katherine Lloyd is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cultural and Heritage Studies at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. She is also a Visiting Researcher at the International Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies, Newcastle University. Her work focuses on issues of heritage, identity, belonging, place, migration, diversity, empathy, co-production and digital participation. She has contributed to two major multi-institutional EU-funded projects: MeLa: European Museums in an Age of Migrations and Critical Heritages (CoHERE): performing and representing identities in Europe. Her recent publications include Museums, Migration and Identity in Europe, ‘Placing’ Europe in the Museum: People(s), Places, Identities, and Museums and Migration: qualitative studies into museum staff and visitor attitudes in European museums (with Christopher Whitehead, Susannah Eckersley and Rhiannon Mason). She is a member of the organising committee of the UK Chapter of ACHS.
