Huimei Liu is a Professor, Director of International Communications at the Asian Pacific Centre for the Education and Study of Leisure, Deputy Director of Institute of Cross Cultural and Regional Studies, Zhejiang University. She was a Fulbright Scholar to Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism at the University of Pennsylvania (2007-2008) and a visiting professor to Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation, University of Alberta (2012-2014). She likes to explore the effects of culture and ethnicity on leisure, and she has also worked on many projects on heritage and tourism(leisure) sponsored by Chinese government. She has a strong passion to promote leisure studies and cultural studies in China.
