Maria Beatriz Andreotti is a PhD student at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at Universidade de São Paulo (IAU USP) since 2018. Her research "Productive Displacement - Urban Restructuring and Industry Resignification" investigates the Tamanduateí River neighborhoods, former industrial district of the city of São Paulo-SP, which has been undergoing an emptying of its productive activities. Andreotti graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2008, with a study around the multiple possibilities of recovery of an industrial area of tanneries in the city of Campinas-SP; has a Master in History (2015) from UNICAMP, in the area of Politics, Memory and City, focusing in the field of industrial heritage through existing situations in Campinas. Part of this research was made at the Università Degli Studi di Padova, Italy. Since 2015, Andreotti has participated in the TICCIH congresses, having presented her work both in Lille (2015) and Santiago de Chile (2018), and had also a paper approved for the Latin America Conference in Guatemala (2019). From 2015 to 2020, lectured at Universidade São Francisco (USF) in the area of Project and Heritage and was also part of the Heritage Council of the city of Itatiba-SP (2019-2020); during 2018 to 2020, coordinated the Center for Urban Studies at Universidade São Francisco, researching and guiding students on subjects related to industrial heritage. Andreotti is currently an associated researcher at LEAUC, Laboratório de Estudos Contemporâneos (IAU USP; ), and investigates themes related to contemporary urban dynamics and their correlation with industrial heritage; there, she also organizes and takes part in many scientific events.
