Kayte has worked in the museum field for the last 9 years specialising mainly in audience research and evaluation, exhibition development, co-creation and community-led research initiatives. She worked as Senior Audience Advocate at the Science Museum London for almost 8 years before taking up a post in the Learning and National Partnerships team at the British Museum. She has conducted collaborative research projects under Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts and Humanities Research Council programmes. Kayte also chairs the UK based Visitor Studies Group a professional membership network dedicated to championing rigorous audience research and engagement in visitor studies. She has a Masters in Cultural Heritage Studies from University College London and a Masters in History from Trinity College Dublin
